The Quest
This is our most all around program. If you have always wanted to sample the vertical challenges of rock climbing and rappelling this is the program for you. The Green Valley Gap provides the scenic backdrop for this distilled adventure. A short hike along the rim of this intimate canyon brings us to a 50 foot cliff and the first rappel. Step by step, we teach you the techniques that will allow you to walk down this vertical cliff face while controlling the speed of your descent. After a brief hike through the canyon bottom, the next challenge is climbing up a cliff. Our instructors will patiently and thoroughly demonstrate rock climbing techniques, and soon you will find yourself ascending the cliff face, while belayed with a rope. 2 more rappels and another climb lead to the zip line. A tensioned rope strung high across the canyon floor is a 600 foot long ride from one side of the canyon to the other. This is the experience of a lifetime, come out and discover what it is like to fly.

The Challenge
This program offers a desert adventure focused around rock climbing. A classic Mojave desert hike leads to the rim of an intimate canyon, where a 60 foot free hanging rappel is our means of access. A short hike leads to the other side of the canyon where a scramble leads to a second rappel. 60 dangling feet later the rock climbing instruction begins. Professional instructors will demonstrate the art and technique of climbing up a cliff face, and how to use the rock climbing shoes that are provided. Vertical faces, chiseled corners, steep slabs and deep pockets provide the challenges to overcome. You will learn both the climbing techniques, and experience the transcendence of focused attention as you ascend to the top of 4 to 6 climbing routes. Once your fingertips have had enough, we ride to the other side of the canyon on the longest zip line we offer. 750 feet long and 100 feet above the canyon floor, this 18 second ride is a well earned reward, and an experience to remember forever.

The Adventure
This program combines every aspect that a backcountry slick rock wilderness has to offer. A rugged 4wd road leads to a spirited hike through a maze of red rock monoliths that seem to grow taller as you move deeper into the slickrock wilderness. At the head of a beautiful slot canyon we begin the instruction on rappelling and rock climbing techniques  Here you will learn the art of moving both up and down cliff faces under the instruction of professional climbing guides, who are as patient as they are encouraging. As you gain a new appreciation of what you are capable of achieving, each challenge becomes a new opportunity for self discovery. Next, we apply your new skills by working our way through one of the most intimate slot canyons in the region. Fluted stone ramps and deep pools lead through a solid block of Navaho sandstone. Here, the irresistible power of water has carved a deep channel through pure stone and in the process created a breath-taking underworld of light and texture. We emerge into the sunlight at the foot of the slot, scramble through a natural arch, then scramble and hike up to the top of a 500 foot long zip line. Soaring through the void, suspended 80 feet in the air, it is hard to imagine a more pure sense of flight, or a bigger adrenaline rush, but we aren't done yet. A final climb up a sandstone tower turns into a 120’ free hanging rappel off of the backside. The sense of accomplishment is unavoidable as you gaze up at what you just came down and consider the obstacles overcome in the process. As we move back into the coolness of the slot canyon we stop for a brief lunch before returning through the sandstone labyrinth. Native American pictographs, and petroglyphs will replenish our sense of discovery as we hike back to the vehicle.

The Endeavor
Experience the uniqueness a desert oasis, while learning new skills, pushing your physical limits and having the time of your life. This program is offered April though October in a deep and forested canyon along the banks of the Santa Clara river. We hike to the rim of the canyon and descend into it’s depths via a 60 foot rappel. Once inside, instructors will demonstrate rock climbing techniques and how to use the climbing shoes that are provided. Climbing out of the lush and verdant canyon back to the Great Basin desert at the rim, is one of the most unique experiences imaginable. After numerous climbing opportunities we hike along the stream and through the deep forest to a hillside trail and a 500 foot zip line. A cliff top launch, and 30mph flight over a restaurant and swimming pool result in a bungee arrested stop at the end of the pool deck. During the summer a brief dip in the pool is a refreshing way to finish.
